Wow!!! I happened across your site by chance and it blows me away … All the memories I haven’t thought of in many years. We had parallel paths. I grew up in Buffalo and played on the scene there (The Look, Cinema, etc.) and moved out to LA in July ’86. I remember seeing the Parousia name on the Whisky a Go Go Marquee one day back in the late ’80s as I was most likely on my way to a gig at another sunset strip venue, and thought hmm, it can’t be. Who knew??? This is an awesome site!!! Great memories!!! – GT Richards (member of LA Underscore & Strut)

From the Ptolemaic period to the second century of the common era “parousia’ was used in the East as a technical expression to denote the arrival or visit of a king or emperor, and celebrated the glory of the sovereign publicly.
